How traveling can benefit your sex life.
Did you know that according to the Kinsey institute, nearly half of all couples ages 25-39 reported only having sex a few times a month? Now I don’t know about you, but that seems a bit sparse to me…
But why is this happening to young, vibrant couples on such a large scale?
The issue is that often our relationships get
into routines that are difficult to get out of. The majority of people go through the same process every day where they wake up, take care of the dog, go to work, make dinner, and go to bed…
or a routine similar to that. We get so caught up in life, that we forget that sometimes we need to do things out of the ordinary to keep our relationships interesting.
Don’t get me wrong though, the reality is that our lives are based on routine and our everyday interaction is going to be in a very normal environment, but without a little spice every once in a while, things could get bland.
A great way to add that spice to your relationship is by traveling with your partner. Traveling produces many benefits for relationships that correlate a directly to increased connection in the bedroom:
- Communication – When traveling with your partner, communication is key. Whether it is deciding where to eat for dinner or what activity to do next, communicating your desires to one another is going to make for the best experience for both of you… in and out of bed.
- Open-mindedness – Not everything you and your partner experience while traveling is going to be something that you are used to, but that can be a good thing. By opening your eyes, as well as your partner’s eyes, to new experiences, you two will begin to see that there may be more to life than what you have become accustomed to in your daily routines. This new realization could lead to more adventurous experiences between the sheets.
- strengthened Bond – Any time two people go through a unique experience together they typically end up forming some sort of bond related to that experience. With a couple that already has a bond, traveling together strengthens that bond in ways that they may have been unable to in the past. When a bond is strengthened between a couple, there is a new sense of life given to the relationship which can lead to a new spark in the bedroom.
There are many more benefits to traveling with your partner that I haven’t discussed, but if you give it a try I’m sure you will be able to figure out the rest on your own. Just remember that life happens in the days in between the highs and the lows. The daily routine can get repetitious at times, but try to see the beauty in the mundane of life. If you and your partner do go on a trip, bring those experiences home with you and continue applying them to your every day routine so that even when you aren’t off traveling the world, you can still continue reaping the benefits of traveling with your partner. Your relationship (and sex life) will be better because of it.
